Halfway to Hana Stand

Halfway To Hana SignThe Stand

A Road to Hana staple since 1982, the Halfway to Hana Stand is the perfect place to stop and relax on your journey to Hana Town. Located at Mile Marker #17 past Ke'anae Arboretum, owners Doug and Nita Chong created a charming pit stop that can't be missed!

With so many excellent banana bread varieties and flavors available, it's nearly impossible to choose a favorite on the Road to Hana, let alone Maui. We have to say, however, that this is probably the best we've had! Made fresh daily from their locally grown bananas, grab a loaf of this delicious local specialty and thank us later.

In the mood for something else? Not a problem! Other notable menu items include ice cream (try the Maui Sunrise, Coconut or Banana Mac Crunch), shave ice (try the Pineapple and Passion Fruit), sandwiches, cheeseburgers, kalua pork plate, polish dogs, hot dogs, saimin, chips, candy, hot chocolate, coffee, tea, sodas, water and more.

Service is always friendly and helpful, and an ATM, trash cans and recycling receptacles are available for use. A small onsite parking lot is available for all guests. Midday hours can bring quite a crowd, but it's well worth the wait!

We recognize the use of diacritical markings of the (modern) Hawaiian language including the ʻokina [ʻ] or glottal stop and the kahakō [ō] or macron (e.g., in place names of Hawaiʻi such as Lānaʻi). However, you may notice these diacritical markings have been omitted on some parts of this website to ensure the best online experience for our visitors. We recognizes the importance of using these markings to preserve the language and culture of Hawaii and respectfully uses them in all communications beyond the online platform.
