Taro Festival
One of the most beloved festivals on Maui, the East Maui Taro Festival brings together local residents, visitors from around the world, and Hawaiian teachers for two days in April. Not just about taro, the festival also celebrates Hawaiian culture and the communities of East Maui: Hana, Kipahulu, Keanae and other smaller towns along the Road to Hana. It honors their close-knit, family-centered, rural way of life.
